Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
The video will not be ready for another 2 WEEKS!
It might mean you have to wait another week to get the Lyceum dvd but it means we can add If An Angel vid and some behind the scene gubbins on it so it'll be worth the wait.
In one scene....
Natalie and Keith were having a domestic, which ends in Natalie slapping Keith as hard as she can. She got it right on take 9!!! OUCH

Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
Keith was presenting an award at Forth 1 FM's annual awards bash this afternoon.
The start of the show went as follows:
Grant Stott (Forth 1 presenter and brother of Ex Blue Peter's John Leslie) says he's going to start with a song. He gets to the first line of Any Dream Will Do and Keith runs on and tells him to stop. He's going to sing it instead. Grant goes off stage, Keith starts into ADWD and then hear's "STOP! I want to sing that song" ... and on walks
Jason Donovan! A good time had by all. It might be on their website today or tomorrow.
He's got a day off tomorrow, then 2 charity gigs (Children in Need and Marie Curie) on Friday, a charity gig on Sat and one on Sunday. Does a lot for charitydoesn't like to talk about it bla bla bla.....

Got my first look of the video this afternoon. It looks good but they didn't put the slap scene in! So Keith got battered for nothing

Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
Quick update.....
Keith performed at Woodfarm High School in Glasgow as part of their fundraising for Children in Need. By time we left they had raised over £2000.
We had hoped to be able to do something on BBC Scotland's Children in Need programme but the times clashed with another charity gig that we had in the diary in Dundee for Marie Curie.
He's staying in Dundee tonight and then flying down south to do another charity bash on Saturday night. Back up the road to do another one in Glasgow on Sunday.
Don't forget he'll be doing 2 songs at the Christmas Lights switch on event in Prince's Street Gardens Edinburgh on 27th November http://www.edinburghschristmas.com/events/light-night
Last chance to see him this year before the panto season!

Keith will be donating ALL profits from the forthcoming single "If An Angel Falls From Heaven" to The Variety Club.
The Variety Club helps to improve the lives of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and Keith is delighted to be lending his support to help the lives of children who haven’t had the opportunities in life that he has.

Another one for those north of the border....
Look out for tv adverts on STV next week. Mainly during the day. Post up if /when you spot them. We'll get the ad up on You Tube.

Keith will not be appearing at the Edinburgh Christmas Lights switch on due to unforseen circumstances. Apologies to anybody who was making the trip to see him.

Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
Hi All
Karla - supported Keith on tour - is currently in the final of an online competition with the Sun newspaper. The voting is online only and I would be really grateful if you would click on the link below and vote for her. Her video is Footprints in the Sand and she is number two in the voting order. Could you please vote for her and also forward the link to as many of your contacts as you can and ask them to vote too. It doesn't cost anything to vote and would be a huge help. There is a first prize of £10,000 so you will understand why I'm trying to drum up as much support as possible!
Thanks very much for your help

If you're sitting at work, in the house etc and you're feeling bored, you could maybe do us a wee favour:
Zap off a quick email to your local radio station and ask them to play the single - most of them should have it by now. Maybe remind them that its for a good cause (Variety Club).
I've left some dvd news on the dvd thread.
Cheers

Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
Its been a while...
I went to see the panto last night. I didn't get there until 20 past 7 so I missed the start. I liked it but thought that they could have got a few more songs out of Keith rather than the "Ken Ken" scene.
Looking ahead to next year, I'm hoping that its just as busy (or even busier) than this year. So expect another album, another tour, a guest appearance on somebody elses tour, possibly a touring production of a West End musical, possibly a new reallity tv show.
Not hearing Keith on the radio or seeing him on TV is frustrating for me as well but not at all surprising. As a few have pointed out, Keith is here for the long haul and wont fade away when the next round of X Factor comes along.
Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year,
J

Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
Good morning and Happy New Year!
There seems to be a lot of Southern Shandy drinkers moaning about the recent cold snap. What a shower of girls blouses!
Well now that the festives are over its back to work. Plenty of things lined up for the first few months of the year and we'll update Keith's website in the next few days with his latest gubbins. He'll be back in the studio late January and we'll look at getting some new music out in the first half of the year. The reality tv thing that I hinted at a while ago is still being discussed but there are a few hurdles to get over first and it would be late '09 before it gets aired - if it goes ahead so dont hold your breath on that one.
Still talking to one or two people about tour support slots for the spring and a solo tour should be around late summer. I know that Keith's got one or two auditions for musicals coming up as well so fingers crossed for that.
Meeting Mr Jack today for a catch up as I've not really saw much of him since about November. He's buying lunch (good news) but he's on a New Year health kick so it'll be somewhere healthy (bad news).
Apologies about the cock up with the dvds. For the second time in 6 months, a supplier we use has went under - 3 if you include Zavvi having a few thousand Keith cds. We hadn't parted with any money so we didn't loose anything but time. And Royal Mail don't seem to have helped either. Hopefully all the orders will be sorted this week.
Thats my lot for now. I'm off to take my daughter to see some horses - or "hoshees" as she calls them - before we go to Teddy Bear House.

Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
Greetings.
Just a very quick update on Mr Jack:
Keith will be in the studio in the next few weeks to record his next album. It will be a collection of songs from the West End. We're still working on the tracklisting so if you have any suggestions then stick them on the forum.
The album will be released early summer and a tour will follow.
It looks like Keith will also be doing the Choices for Life event in Scotland so if you're in a Scottish primary school you might see him in May!
Various one off performances will be posted up on the site as well.

Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
Greetings.....
Its been a while so I thought I'd pop on for a quick update:
Work has now finally started on Keith's next album. It will be a selection of songs from the musicals. Some classics; Les Mis, Phantom and some new; Wicked, We Will Rock You. The final touches are being put together for a 12 date tour in September and October. Bigger and better than the last tour and no date in Pitlochry this time.
You'll also be able to hear Keith back on Radio 2's Friday Night Music Night programme in June. I'll get details of this when it's all confirmed as their may be tickets availble for the recording.
The end of year panto offers have been flying in to his agents office but there might be something more interesting in the pipeline. Watch this space!
So next week sees the start of a very busy spell. The Choices for Life gigs in front of 10,000 screaming kids each day and then off to record his parts for the album. As a wee teaser, each week - when I remember - I'm going to post the name of one track from the album. So by time its about to be released, you'll have a full tracklisting of the album. So here's your first:
Can You Feel the Love Tonight

Re: Wonky's Weekly Update....
The first week of Choices for Life gigs have went well. Just under 10,000 at each gig so it was pretty deafening - hello if you were there.
Keith was going to be singing This is the Moment (Wicked) and We're All in This Together (High School Musical) but the lights apparently had been programmed for You Raise Me Up so he went with that for Glasgow but we might chop it about for the rest of the tour.
So the next song I can reveal for the album is.....
We're All in This Together (High School Musical)
More next week.
