I would give three quarters away in large enough chunks to make a real difference to people's lives - I'd probably not go down the usual charity route, rather give to people who are quietly poor or underprivileged (like holidays for families on benefit etc), pay off the mortgage and student loan debts, put some away for the kids, by the most awesome computer EVER, an iPhone, bribe ALW for opening night tickets for POTO 2, a holiday somewhere cold and then another one somewhere hot and ... I dunno. I'd go to a train station and throw fivers off the balcony like that band did years ago.

I've seen my dream house, it's in a village not too far from here, and it's a big Georgian looking mansion, with cast iron gates, the most beautiful house ever. But probably costs a bomb.
