Pay £90 to sing to yourself!

In other words, the Performing Rights Society are telling this man he has to have a permit to sing to himself while he's working ...
Petty officials have banned a sandwich shop owner from singing to his customer as he works - unless he gets a performance licence.
Mark Neves, 50, has been serenading customers for the last 25 years with a medley of work-related songs including How Much Is That Shopkeeper In The Window and A Shopkeeper's Life For Me.
But his impromptu recitals have failed to find favour with the Performing Rights Society (PRS) which has warned him he must get a £90 permit if he wants to carry on crooning.

He shouldn't need one at all. They're being REALLY petty and officious.

Omg.....it's madness. we were told not to play the radio in the shop floor a while back cos we needed a broadcasting licence!!! We did as we were told for a while, then..........haha
