I went to the HSM tour tonight & you won't believe this

It was AWESOME!!! How did that happen?! I didn't even want to go but I loved it rofl. It's different in many ways from the movie, MUCH funnier and way more fun.

I've also never seen a theatre crowd (sold out on a Tuesday night term time) react like I did tonight - yelling, SCREAMING, singing, dancing, whooping, like it was a Take That concert or even as if Zacquisha Efron himself was on stage. It was BIZARRE. I asked the girl who played Gabriella if it was always like that - she said, "Yes, mostly, but tonight was the biggest reaction of all". I could see cast members smiling and laughing in bewilderment.

My kids loved it :>> I recommend it!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm taking my daughter to see it later this year and wasn't really looking forward to it. It sounds like good fun though, thanks for letting us know .

its just been to norwich, it sold out b4 i could get tickets but im kinda glad i didnt go...it got amazing reviews and would probably have depressed me at how bad our production is shaping up to be...

My daughter's HS did it the week before and it was bad enough without being compared to a professional production, although, funnily enough, the script for the school production was almost the same as the professional one - not the film. The stage show's script was very different from the film indeed.

yeah, we have essentially the touring productions script...unfortunately our troy is a pretty poor singer and the chorus are pretty terrible! i have no idea where they found some of them, seriously uve never seen such ugly ppl as some of them!

But Zac Efron (apparently) is a terrible singer, and they mixed his vocals with some other guy for the film, which is why he didn't do the live show.
Although that was when he was filming Hairspray so :/

? We're talking about the new HSM stage production on tour, not the tours in the US last year with the actual cast :>>> Plus, I knew that - although he did sing for the second film.
