Re: I got fanmail!
I read with interest the feature about Keith Jack in The Sentinel. I went to see "Joseph" last Tuesday. It is my favourite musical. I have seen it 3 times now.
I wrote to the Sentinel, although it wasn't published, unless on their website. I don't have a computer. I wrote praising the show, and also added a few words regarding Liz Rowley's criticism of Keith's voice. I thought he did the part of the Narrator really well. What she probably didn't take into account of was Keith's Scottish accent. You could hear it when Craig spoke as well, thanking the audience. I did wrote to them all as well. I like to show my appreciation.
The other interesting item was the mention of The MacDonald Brothers. I am a great fan of theirs. I am not young, I am a 78 year old grandmother, and they are wonderful. I get letters and cards and such, and can speak to their manager, Gordon Campbell, as well as Stuart Wood, who co owns the record company. I've been overwhelmed by them. They've had a most successful tour with "Westlife", but I still haven't seen them. I didn't think I could stand the screaming! Gordon says when I can sort things out, there will be no problem with us meeting up. The biggest problem is always finding someone to go with. Luckily a friend and neighbour took me to see "Joseph". My family live in T*, this side of Burton.
I didn't know about the "Choice of Life" your, although Gordon did say they'd booked up for something, but it was a mobile and not very clear.
I have the "Sunday Post", a Scottish newspaper, and in today's copy, there is a story of two ladies who plan to do an American X-Factor. My lads are going to Australia in July, to sign a big record deal there. That is on the website, a friend looked it up for my, but not "Choice of Life".
If you'd like to chat, my number is *******, and I will pay for the call. I've been involved in fan clubs all my life, but the computer and websites are alien to me.
I have been given a laptop, also an electric type writer, but am not sure if I will ever manage either.
I hoe that you don't mind me writing, it's been great to learn something new.
It's wonderful that you got Keith to go to the school. My friend's brother is a professional musician and years ago he went to Edensor High School, and the head teacher allowed me to go and watch.
My best wishes to you,
I've just had the John Barrowman CD and read his book.
