Look what Niamh said about it: http://www.whatsonstage.com:80/index.php?pg=207&story=E8821217510960&title=Niamh+Perry+%26+Keith+Jack+On+...+Life+After+Reality+TV

Full article is copied into the media thread for Keith - but she basically said it's at WORKSHOP stage! Which means they're performing it privately with professionals to iron out the kinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it's ostensibly finished!

Yeah but it's all been hush-hush for so long. There was no original sequel to "Phantom" so whatever ALW is doing is quite out on a limb here. He based the first musical on a book so where's he getting the sequel storyline?

It's a very old book indeed - you can find it on Project Gutenberg because the copyright's waaaay out of date.

ALW is using artistic licence to make up whatever the hell he likes. Hoorrraaaah!

Although there are several different version of the phantom story itself, with a variety of endings, most of which continue way beyond the opera house itself - including the phantom returning to the village he spent his childhood in, so perhaps that's where ALW is heading.

I love the film but it wasn't until I saw the live show that I realised that the film's not actually very good ... Emmy sings beautiful but isn't old enough, and Gerard (hot stuff) shouts all the way through.

But I will be at the front of the queue the NANO SECOND the tickets for POTO2 go on sale.
