Did anybody watch it?? There was an uncanny resemblence to our Keith in R Wayne!! Lol, even thou the bottom link says he was moulded around Leon Jackson and Gareth Gates, it look's more like Keith!!!

Is Peter Kay planning a new comedy?

Comedian Peter Kay is rumoured to be producing a new comedy that spoofs talent shows like X Factor.

The Phoenix Nights star will apparently write and direct Britain's Got The Pop Factor, reports the Daily Star.

A source said: "Peter has wanted to do this for years." The insider added the programme is a "hilarious take on the world of reality TV talent shows".

The comedy - to be filmed in Manchester this summer - reportedly focuses on a aspiring singer named Our Wayne, who works in an old people's home and is transformed into pop star R Wayne for a TV show.

The source said: "Wayne is a loveable northern young lad who has always dreamed of being a pop star. This talent show is his big chance."

Wayne has a great voice but producers boot him off the show because he doesn't have a good enough sob story to win over the fans. But Wayne's gran is devastated he has lost the show and dies of a heart attack, giving him the perfect tear-jerking story - so the judges invite him back.

The source revealed: "The lad who eventually lands the role of R Wayne will have to be an all round entertainer, who can sing and dance and be fit, agile and toned."

i watched a little bit of that it was weird though i have to say my mum said the young lad looked like keith so i changed the channel coz she insulted keith :O
