Itunes Empty Itunes

For Christmas I got an Ipod with an Itunes Card ... the thing is I have downloaded Itunes, any on the back of the card it says i have to go through this procedure but then i have to put credit card details.... Why ? If i get an Itunes Card doesn't that mean someone else is paying for it not me?

Confusing stuff....

Any Help ? Very Happy

there should be an option when you pay that says redeem itunes card/vouchers

It puts all the songs on then when i go to the Videos it says 0 ...
