Book Club 8-)

Hmmmmm I'm a Mormon, so like I said, there are some for and some against - I know a sum total of 2 people who are anti-Harry. Everyone else I know either doesn't care or loves him. It's not blasphemy in my opinion. It's fiction. JKR doesn't even explain what really happens - I never thought he'd actually 100% died anyway.

JKR also said Dumbledore's gay which made me laugh my ass off at how many people it would upset. Genius.

I remember my friend telling me that.

Hehehe Rowling got such a big cheer when she announced that (my daughter and I were wondering too), that she said "I'd have told you earlier if I'd known it would make you so happy".

yeah i laughed for about a week about that, that bloke with the tatoo! his little face fell! lol and as a proud agnostic who condemns organised religion i have no problem with it, bloody good stories! lol

Sirius Black is hot. And I don't mean Gary Oldman. As a proud Mormon who condemns disorganized religion, I too love Harry Potter and wish Rowling would write another book.

She said that in the future she might write an encyclopaedia (please excuse my spelling here) type thing with back stories of some of the characters and suchlike in it.

Also, my friend (the very same one I mentioned earlier) said that she's writing a book but is going to publish it under a false name or something...

Hmmm interesting. I also read somewhere that she misses Harry and is thinking "what if" so fingers crossed!

Something happened to Harry in the final book that led to a near death experience/seance/chat with Dumbledore on the other side of the veil, which was never completely clarified: Voldemort avada kedavra'd Harry BUT it's debatable whether he fully died or not. I have never believed it was more than a brief visit to the Other Side or even perhaps just a vision etc while he was injured and passed out.

That site's the book crossing one I mentioned ages ago when we were talking about leaving ads for Keith's album all over the place - you leave books around for other people to pick up. It's good fun.

Ohhh cool, so do you just arrange to leave it somewhere? Or like, find people to book trade with??

I only read it last year, but I'm terrible at remembering details, tbh I wasn't too impressed with the last book - too waffley, although I did think the final fight scene/George dying was well written.

I've left them on trains, buses, park benches, various benches and tables around the uni I attend, passed them on by hand, just posted on to Holland! Other people have book swapping parties (something I'd like to do if I can get more people interested in my area). They even hide them and leave videos on YouTube to help people find them lol.

I was gutted that Colin Creevey died. I'm traumatized. Seriously.
