Whoop! Never fear I'm always lurking around the forum even if you can't see me!
Absolutely fantastic show last night! Keith did 2 x 45 minute sets including quite a few songs we haven't seen him do on tour before! I'll leave it for Jan or Lesley to do a full review but in the meantime here is a little message......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Zyw_u1Fhog
and as a special treat here is a video of Keith performing My Girl!

Sorry about the quality but tis the best my little camera could do! I have a few (well 5) more videos but I think I'll tease them out over the next few months

The show was great. It was good to hear a lot of new songs from Keith the new album should be really good if Saturdays show was anything to go by. Loved Empty Chairs and You'll Never Walk Alone.
Nicola should have took a video of us preparing those Knickers' that was a scream, especially when we decided to put kisses on them DON'T ASK
Suzanne you would have loved it!!!!!!!
Hopefully we won't have to wait till September to see him again 6 months is toooooo long

Re: Keith Jack - Corn Exchange, Melrose
my review, some of you who use DS may have read this already!
Me, Mum and Carol arrived in Melrose early afternoon, thankfully the weather was fair and my driving skills got us there in one piece! I'm not the most confident of drivers lol.
Jan, her son Luke and Nicola joined us in our apartment at about tea-time and we had a good laugh catching up and preparing a surprise or two for Keith!! We then headed off to the venue....
We met Emma and Hayley, and Fannetastic was there too. Before Keith came on there were performances from 2 girls, very talented singer/songwriters, but not really my cup of tea.
After the interval the moment we had all been waiting for.... the man himself .... oor Keith he started off with some of his original tour songs then he sang My Girl, for a certain young lady in the audience Aye, Alana was there getting to sit and enjoy the show rather than performing this time. Another couple of new songs interspersed with his old stuff were She's Out of My Life and the Michael Buble song Home.
At one point during the first half Keith was bantering with the audience and was joking with an elderly lady in the front row about being excited and getting ready to throw her bra at him (which she wasn't!) But that was an excellent cue for our Birthday knickers to be thrown at Keith! Well done Jan for your aim!! On one side it said Happy 21st Birthday and on the other was our names with very nice lipstick kisses from each of us I must add my mother declined to participate in this lol
Time for the interval....
2nd half, enter Keith, first song Phantom, but instead of atmospheric smoke to walk through we had put a load of balloons on the stage, trying to keep the Birthday theme going lol, I must admit the balloons weren't quite in keeping with the song though lol. There were more new songs mixed in with the old .... Empty Chairs, You'll Never Walk Alone, Bridge Over Troubled Water, there may have been more but my poor wee brain can't remember them! Empty Chairs was fantastic by the way!
Oh I forgot to mention that during the first half he almost choked on his water and a woman in the audience offered to give him the kiss of life, to which he ran off the stage and gave her a big kiss lol. Whats even funnier is that she said she came from Dalkeith and Keith asked his Gran who was at the back of the room if she knew her, turns out it was an aunt!! He was mortified lol. During the second half he jumped off the stage and got this same lady out to dance with him, lucky lady lol.
Just before his last song Peter came on stage with a Birthday cake all lit up with candles for him and we all sang him Happy Birthday
And then it was all over
Both Jan and Nicola had baked him cakes for his Birthday, so after all the signings and photos ( to which I chickened out again lol) he was presented with his cakes. He was amazed with their handiwork. He shared Nicola's cake with the usual motley hangers on (Emma, Hayley, Jan etc), we had a good natter with him, Nicola got another of her wee interviews, and then it was time to say farewell
All in all a very good time was had by all!!!
PANTS!
